Achieving inline measurement! A pressure air-compatible particle counter using a self-compensating free jet sensor.

Until now, particle counters have been considered to only support suction sampling under atmospheric pressure due to the structure of the sensors, and it was thought that particle measurement in compressed air or gas could not be performed. On the other hand, with the institutionalization of HACCP and the transition to ISO 22000 (June 2021), it has become necessary to manage dust, bacteria, water, and oil for gases that come into direct or indirect contact with food. Additionally, there is a significant demand for cleanliness monitoring in pneumatic systems such as ProAir. The Particle Plus 'Model 5301C/5501C' has achieved direct measurement of particles in pressurized air through its unique self-compensating free jet sensor. Our 2.83 LPM sensor can measure a maximum concentration of 1,060 particles/CC (10% counting loss rate) with almost no measurement error even in high concentration areas (indoor, road intersections). Experimental reports on measurements of incense smoke, saline solution, and humidifiers have been presented at conferences (2022 JACA, 2022 AAC, 2023 JACA, Air Purification Association Journal, Volume 60, Issue 6, special article, etc.).
